So a former coworker of mine was expecting her first grand baby. They found out the little one was a little girl, and this got me thinking. I have always loved making things for others and surprising them with this gift. So I decided to make a couple pairs of baby shoes for her newest little family member. For the shoes I used Simplicity 2278, which I bought when it was on sale for $0.99 at Hobby Lobby (I pretty much always get my Simplicity patterns this way!) I also used some leftover fabrics I had from when I made myself a skirt and a dress. I also added some cute little plastic heart buttons to one pair on the outside of the straps and some cute felt buttons on the other pair.
This was my first time ever making something so small, and there were a few complicated areas, but in the end they were just so darn cute because of their size!
Needless to say, everyone loved the shoes! You can find full project details over at my good ol’ blog
