Description

I wanted a shirt that had just enough “sleeve” on it that I could wear it to work. I haven’t done much sewing for a while, so I was very pleased with how simple this turned out to be. It has elastic through the ends of the “sleeves” that stops where the sleeves attach to the shirt (so no bunching under the arms yuck), and another elastic that runs through the neckline. It’s a little more flared at the bottom than I intended for it to be, but I’m happy with it overall.

cotton fabric, 1/4 inch wide elastic

    It’s very simple and cute. Your idea for putting the elastic only on the outer part of the sleeve hem is brilliant! I’ll have to do that next time.

    I think it is beautiful. You did a great job and I love your sleeves! The flair looks nice. It looks like it was planned that way.
