This was my first ever dressmaking attempt in adulthood – I could have chosen myself something easier to start with!!
I used http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/52011-shirt-dress and I have actually worn this and enjoyed it. If I make it again I’ll probably put interfacing on the buttonhole bits (the instructions probably told me to do this and I didn’t read it properly). I’ll also maybe put a slit in the back, due to rather embarrasingly splitting it while playing rounders. I’d probably also use a silky fabric too (like it suggested!).
