Finally I have this one finished!
I did make it in a week or something ( and this is for me really fast if you count the time I actually have on my hands for sewing) but I wanted to make this pattern so much and since a very long time.
The magazine is from 2001 and if you see the garment picture it is really not impressive. I did not even notice it until I`ve got to the technical drawings. It is almost a different garment.
I love the pleats in the waist ( though I was thinking that they were gathers until I`ve read the instructions).
It has inseam pockets ( how great is that :) ).
Changes that I did make:
I did cut like 17 cm from the skirt , it was sooo long.
I have omitted the Epaulettes ( i think this is how they call those in English) and the small plackets ( or how they call them , sorry )on the sleeves.
They say to make a belt from the same fabric but I did not like that idea so I will wear the dress with a belt ( another one than the one in the picture, I still need to find it and buy it :)
Burda will not say much about finish the seams but i did anyway for a neater inside of the dress.
And I did put more buttons , since I loved them so much and they were not in a bigger size I choose to put more buttons. By the way, I find that they are a LOT of buttonholes and buttons to sew in one project :).
The collar did go really smooth, I am amazed how easy did go, maybe also because in this issue they have a tutorial how to do the collar.
I used 100% cotton fabric ( in a beautiful color , if you ask me:)
Thank you for reading.
