I have also done a flower from the same fabric of the shirt based on Alexi’s tutorial(http://mymamamadeit.blogspot.com/2009/09/flower-pin-tutorial.html). I have put a security pin on It so I can move it where i want. Now I’m using it on an elastic band for the hair.

this looks just great in the print you have chosen – nice interpretation and so worth your effort. Sewing is just sometimes like that a bit bothersome…..and how is it that it’s always the simplest looking things that give us that bother :)

This is the second pattern I’ve seen posted from this issue, I can’t wait to get mine. The print is very cute, despite your troubles your should be proud of your efforts, I’m sure is was worth it and you learned a lot :)
