About a year ago I found a very cute millefleurs fabric. I never used it because I was afraid it would not turn out well. This year I I saw shirred skirts in lots of shops and thought that I could do that aswell. The skirt is very easy to make. I just cut two rectangles, shirred about 10cm on the top of both pieces, then sewed together the sides and then finished the skirt. The good thing about shirring or smocking is that you don´t need to sew in zippers or buttons. I like that! I like how the skirt turned out. And I love the fabric and its beautiful colours, light lilac, rose, deep purple, yellow and a pale sea-green. I love the fabric of the scarf. Its a light grey, with blue and pink flower ornaments. I bought half a meter of the fabric without knowing what to do with it, but them wanted to wear it somehow. I quickly made up a way to make a loop scarf and am very happy with how it turned out. What a pretty skirt! I especially love the shirring detail. Nice work.
