I needed a dress for a wedding. Usually, I would go buy one because I don’t make a lot of fancy clothes, I’m more into knit fabrics. But this time I knew well ahead, so I decided to try and make one.
I used the same pattern as for this dress: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/songbird-dress. Only, this time around it was a lot harder to make it because I added the lining and the silk ruffles at the neckline. I wanted to add the ruffles at the bottom hem too, but I thought that would be too over-the-top.
The blue fabric is 100 % polyester satin. It’s lined with stretchy black lining. There’s a zipper at the back.
