Shift dress with double collar in wool jeresey

This 60’s inspired wool jersey dress is an A+ pattern in my humble opinion. The fit is great and the clever details such as the double detachable collar and the button placket makes this so much more than a basic shift dress. I was however surprised with how much work this dress required, it is fully lined, has 12 hand sewn snap-on button for the collar, six darts and there is also some hand sewing involved if you want to make this dress exactly as the original design (I skipped the hand pick stitches). But still totally worth the work. Love this dress and also plan to make on of the other versions of this pattern.

Wool/lycra jersey for the dress and lycra/poly/rayon ponte di roma for the contrasting collar.
