My neighbor kindly gave me this magazine when she found out I had started sewing. Its only taken me since Feb 2010 to get round to using the pattern for the jacket… but only took a few evenings to put it together. I used 100% wool coating for outer and poly lining. First time I’ve ever attempted a jacket and I found it pretty easy apart from making button holes on double thickness wool! I ended up doing them by hand in the end!
I used the reverse of the fabric for the shawl collar and was a bit worried how it would turn out but I quite like it!
Sleeves are cropped which is no good for the freezing temps in London right now but will be great for spring…. with my lovely new gloves!
100% wool coating and poly lining.
