Description

The sleeveless version of the Shari dress! This creation is a bit more formal, accentuating the feminine collar bone and emphasizing a soft shoulder shape. With fabrics like these, the Shari dress is instantly turned from a casual classic into a dress that is stunning and sophisticated!

I can’t find the pattern! Do I use the original and just leave off the sleeves? Or is the pattern for the variation on here and I’m just blind and can’t see it??

I really love this dress! The pattern results in a sleeved dress. What do I need to do to make a sleeveless dress? I’m sorta new to the sewing world.

I wouldn’t associate someone being thin because they don’t eat healthy, just like some people have overweight problems, others, like my best friend, have problems keeping weight on. I agree that the model is very skinny, but maybe you should think about what you are commenting about before you post.

I really love this design, but your model is too thin. She does not fill out the blouse which would compliment a fuller figure. I’m afraid this dress seems to be hanging off her like a little girl wearing mummy’s clothes. I would encourage Burda to maintain a more wholesome and socially responsible image by photographing more shapely bodies and to make sure their models are healthy and eating properly.

Beautiful! I was planning on making my Shari sleeveless, but I was just going to make the dress without the sleeves, so thanks for the timely instructions.

We started off sewing on the sequin (they came attached to a separate chiffon-like fabric), by removing sequins from the edge of the cut piece, in order to create a seam allowance. In the end we had to use a bunch of nailpolish to keep the sequin in place. (They unravel very easily, since they were all attached with one ongoing thread). Its a bit of hard work, but we feel that it paid off.

I love this one. SOO elegant! amazing how a different fabric can do to a pattern…the sequins are hand sewn on?
