Ah, how I love this dress! Perfect for the unbearable temperatures here. Made the sleeves longer, added ruffles at the hem, not lined but with neckline facing on the outside. Oh, and I omitted the zipper but with a bit pulling and tugging, I’m able to put it on. Mainly, I was to lazy/cheap to buy a matching one but who would want to fight with a bitchy zipper anyway when the temperatures are 35° C and over _
I recycled old bedsheets that surely are older than I am. I KNEW, I would find the perfect garment to use the fabric for. I also used buttons from the sheets and some leftover satin for piping

Beautiful! It reminds me of a flower faerie princess. Sooooo pretty!
I love that you added the ruffle. I too add ruffles and omit zippers on most of the patterns I use as well. I’ve never liked zippers, I prefer pull on dresses instead. And I’m a huge fan of girly ruffles on everything. :)
And bedsheets! I’ve done that too! They come in such great designs and are great for cool summer dresses.

beautiful sewing, your use of the patterns around the neck and hem looks stunning.

I love it. I always look at potential sheets and duvet covers at charity shops, but I can never see a finished product. I’m so impressed by what you’ve done.
