Here’s my Green Marie and I LOVE her! I definitely get some funny looks at work (it’s so conservative there), but I don’t care!
Instead of doing the interfacing and all that, I just sewed one of the waistbands to the pleated skirt, doubled it over and tacked it to the wrong side. Yea, I’m totally lazy.
It’s a little narrow at the hemline so there’s definitely no running or playing in this skirt, but I kinda like that. (no running and playing makes me feel like a lady, which is nice… just once in a while)
some kind of green polyester or cotton or something.
burdastyle for the pattern, the fabric store that went out of business that practically gave me the fabric, and my baby for sleeping through the sounds of my sewing machine and my swears.

Yea, I didn’t have anything that remotely matched so I just used what I had. It’s actually not as bright as the picture makes it seem, I mean, from a normal 3 feet away it doesn’t jump out at you…

Nice skirt! I almost made this one…the only thing is, the pink zipper jumps out a little too much. Shots of color are nice but not in zippers.

That skirt looks great on you! It’s great wearing something special to work. So many offices are have grey walls and grey desks, and then people only tend to wear grey and black, and boring styles. Ugggh! Where’s the excitement? Creative clothes help the creative juices flow!
