I made this summer dress from a long skirt with an image by Alfred Shaheen who was known for his florals and Hawaiian designs. I had to use every little bit to fit it together. I’m so inspired I’m making another dress from a Shaheen skirt, this one will be strapless.

How beautiful! This is a great example of how to re-make one article of clothing into something different! I’m inspired.

Well done and how inspiring! I also have a long skirt that I’ve been planning to repurpose into something else – this could be the summer that it happens!

Great fit. This dress is very flattering on you; it’s very “Hawaiiana”. Nice work! Good job!
