After spending the last two years with my boyfriend, I realized that it was about time for me to stop talking about making him clothes, and actually create something. This was my absolute first try at creating a piece of menswear , and I have to say it was actually kind of nice! Found the fabric at Textile Fabrics in Nashville during their 40% off sale last month, cut out the pieces immediately, and then spent the next month slowly putting them together. I bought just enough of this striped cotton broadcloth to make a short sleeved shirt, and was crossing my fingers when adding in the SA. Sean is 6’2, with broad shoulders, so I just added 1.5" to the bottom hem, and the outcome was almost perfect! Did not have to take in/out very much from the pattern at all.
Finally I let him actually wear the shirt after taking some pictures, it looks so good!

This is awesome! I’ve been promising my husband so many garments, with very little to show for it. Chronic problem:)
