I created a two piece garment that helped create the "frame’ for my photographic imagery. The blouse is from a simple vintage pattern that called for a zipper in the back that I intentionally left out. The skirt is also from another vintage pattern with simple darts and gather in the back.
The imagery was created using the historical darkroom process, Cyanotype. I created digital negatives from studio shots taken by my digital Canon camera and exposed them under UV light. The imagery involved toy animals “falling from the ledge” or from the top of the blouse to the bottom of the skirt.
I love the results and hope to try more “garment pieces” to come!
