At our week long sewing retreat with the amazing Sandra Betzina and group of amazing (and amazingly talented women) we challenged ourselves to create something which would push our skill level. I brought a 1940s vintage pattern (my mom found some my size!) which was disintegrating before my very eyes. After much tracing and a couple muslins i started to get to work! I learned how to adjust patterns to fit my size and measurements and even learned, after much practice and stressing, to make bound button holes!

Sewing retreat! How lovely!! Beautiful pattern, I’d be stressing too about the button holes. I am still yet to attempt to do them with my machine.
