Description

Now that it’s summer and I’m finally warm, I’m sewing sweaters! I’ve been mulling over a wrap sweater for some time and not finding anything in the stores to use as an example. While sorting my fabric bin, I discovered a muslin that I had made from Buttrick B4395 that was exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t even remember sewing it up! I had this plum stretchy stuff hanging around and thought I’d give it a try. I slimmed the sleeves a few inches because they were really wide – they might need even more slimming. Being lazy and wanting to experiment with my serger, I serged all the seams on the outside and roll hemmed the edges. It has really long ties that wrap around the back and tie in the front. I have some dark grey stretch that I want to make using this pattern but w/out the sleeves to wear as a wrap vest.

Material Notes

Plum stretchy fabric that I purchased at Dressew in Vancouver a year ago. I think it was $1.00/metre.
