Burda Style For people who sew

I’ve been a little absent from the sewing room as of late to make more room for my latest hobby … sleeping.
No I’m not coming down with anything … I’m cooking up a sweet little baby in my belly!
Hello empire waistlines!
Now that I’ve well and truly passed the first trimester, I’m getting my sewing mojo back and my sewing machine is whirring away once more.
My latest project is made using Burda 7739, gorgeous wool crepe, and some pretty white rick-rack trim.

A really cute dress! Can’t wait to see what maternity clothes you make not to mention what clothes you make for “baby-bobbin” – make baby clothes before your little bundle arrives as you won’t have time when he or she gets here…trust me those little people take all of your time….I have a 12 week old little girl. It’s a paper pattern not a downloadable pattern. You can buy it from this site www.simplicity.com and I’m sure many other sites that sell Burda patterns

Congratulations!! What a beautiful dress! I love the color and the wrist line! I just passed my second trimaster. Second trimaster is the best as I also felt very sleepy in my first trimaster. I am craving to sew, but my belly is getting big….not to mention my sewing room will become the baby’s nursery in two months. :P Keep it up and enjoy the awesome second trimaster! :)

Ha! It definitely took me a while to start rethinking how I was going to sew. My ‘go-to’ is a small waist hour-glass silhouette and that’s not working anymore!
