Description

I made these cords last spring. The pattern is from the Sew You book. I lengthened the legs but I wish I had lengthened the front and back rise as well. I taught myself how to shorten zippers (prying off the teeth and repositioning the top stop) because the fly is rather short. Over all I think the pattern ran a little small, but I am fairly happy with the way they turned out. I want to make some more cords and some jeans, but I probably won’t use this pattern again soon because there is too many modifications I would do (lengthen the legs more, adjust the front and back rise depth and length) that I think it would be better to try another pattern instead.

    Nice. I want to make a pair of cords. Do you think stretch or non-stretch cord is better?

      I prefer non stretch. I hate the flapping sound that stretch fabrics make. However, slight stretch is useful if a pattern has very little ease.
