This is my first complete Burda project:
Skirt with Front Pleats
I really enjoyed this sew along. Gertie’s explanations were very clear so I managed to finish my skirt without any difficulties (I know that on my own it wouldn’t have been the case…).
I made some changes from the initial project:
I lengthened the skirt as I don’t wear short skirts.
I have chosen 2 fabrics (same colors but different designs) to make the skirt. One for the 4 pleat underlays and another one for the other pieces. I didn’t like the result and the skirt was too heavy so I have kept only 1 pleat underlay on the front of the skirt.
I made the waistband with the fabric instead of the ribbon.
Thank you Burda and Gertie for this Sew Along.
