"Sew 70's" dress

Added Sep 3, 2011

Oakleigh South, ...

A dress inspired by the Sew Weekly challenge last week – That 70’s sew! Used view 2 of simplicity 6672, and some thrifted polyester-y fabric. Shortened the dress to fit the amount of fabric I had, and omitted the back zipper and the decorative buttons on the front. Was an easy pattern to use, and I am looking forward to making more variations!

Very cute. That’s one of those rare older patterns that still look absolutely classic and wearable with no changes.

I know – generally 70’s patterns aren’t really to my taste, but I can see myself making this one up in a few more variations :)

Lovely dress. Really nice shape. And I think it works really well as a mini. Looks lovely on you :-)
