I love, love, love my serger!!!!
I just bought a secondhand serger and I’m so happy with it!
I still have to find out some things, but it’s serging and it looks ok for now.
This is my first project on the serger and I’m pleased with it. It’s a middelweight jersey with an butterfly print. Because I didn’t had enough fabric, I decided to make the sleeves from black jersey. The butterfly-flutter sleeves are simply half circles, attatched to the front and back panels.
For the pattern I used a shirt I allready owned as inspiration.
Very quick and easy to sew. The next time I will make it just a bit smaller with a slightly more stretching fabric. I wont recomment the satin trimming I used on the front and back panels; it takes away a lot of the stretch. Without the trimming the shirt would fit closer to the chest.
