I used the “panties” portion of this BurdaStyle pattern to make these sequined hot pants for sideshow performance costumes.
Two-way stretch sequined spandex from Spandex House, lined with the cheapest red stretch poly-blend fabric Joann’s had.
The striped pair are a stretch sequin from Spandex World, with continual sequins covering one side of the fabric, making it much more difficult to sew than the red fabric, which had smaller sequins sewn on in a winding pattern. They are lined with bathing suit liner fabric and have bands of black spandex on the insides of the hems and waistband for comfort.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
