I looked in the net of a Russian chess collection designer Taisia Kirtsova. Something I have not had for a long time, I could not sleep or eat, I HAD TO HAVE- this dress. It all began with a search for fabric . When I found this dress for me, this print was sold out everywhere, no longer on the market for Dutch products. The only thing that stopped me, I continued to try. I found on the net then a fabric where the colors fit more or less. I bought 4 Pannoux: 2 for the Rock, one on the Bodice, 1 on the cuffs and belt. For cutting the fabric I needed more than 2 hours, 2 hours due to print so complicated. In the end I had back pain :-). Bodice I’ve processed and linning from facing up to Talie poplin … because I did not have the dress thick. I already have the complete lining. Then came autumn .. the dress was not finished. I’ve packed in a box, until the next summer. The summer came …. and my desire was burned out. Nevertheless I finished it, because everything I start, I also bring it to the end. As a basis for pattern for Bodice I’ve used the pattern for the wedding dress from the Burda fashion issue 3 / 2008

Well worth the time and back-aches spent on the preparation stage. The final product with well-matched patterns, attention to details….great inspiration for us all!

Dreamy! So, so pretty. One question though: where did you get the fabric? I’ve never before seen fabric designed for circle-skirts!

Hi apfelbluete, this dress makes me breathless, You look so extremely pretty in it and you managed it to make it true to original. From my point of view your fabric is the better choice with the natural colors than the black/white one from the original. You showed us that it is worth it to follow a vision or an idea and to wait until the right material is found. How did we live without the internet? Best wishes, Philomenia

Hi, Philomenia,
