Description

I loved the nautical feel of this dress with the rope for straps. The shirring just below the bust gives it just the right fit . The dress is called the Selma Dress, by Christopher Deane. There was no pattern for this dress, just instructions on how cut the fabric. I used a jersey knit instead of silk, which this dress is originally made in. It was pretty simple to make, but the instructions were a little vauge and I had to figure out some things on my own. Its very comfortable to wear, but if you are planning on making one for yourself, keep in mind that it will not fit well on anyone with a large chest unless you modify the instructions.
