There’s a lot of talk about the balance of ‘frosting’ to ‘cake’ out there. The penny dropped when I realised I had a fine choice of clothes for the weekend but nothing to wear to work on a daily basis. Well you can’t get more practical than a black pencil skirt!
I self-drafted a pattern for my grey skirt back in August 2012 and just tweaked it to make it longer and more tapered for this one. I also included a vent with mitred corners.
I made the top too. A peasant top using Butterick B4685. I completely forgot to blog it but I have made this top a couple of times before. But here’s a link to the gingham one I made before.
