Description

Sooooooo, this is the second corset using the pattern from my 1st self drafted corset.
I made the necessary alteration to the measurements and also altered the pattern to cup my ribs and hips a little more.
I also add hip pads to this corset for my sensitive hip bones, and put in the full length of boning over the hips.
Bias binding was sewn on differently so there was no stitching visible where the binding was sewn on.
Made a bit of a boo boo finishing the ends of the bias binding, they aren’t straight :-( oooh well better keep an eye on that next time.
So far the hip pads are comfortable, no discomfort or pain :-)
I also forgot to add a waist tape this time, should be fine considering I haven’t got any major waist reduction going on at the moment.

9" Flexible steel busk
10 Flat 6mm steel bones + tips
26 Spiral steel bones + tips
22 “00” size Two part Grommets
Bone casing
Black cotton bias binding
Green and Coral/Pink silk thread for flossing
6 Meters Black Flat Lacing
Wadding and Jersey for hip pads

      Thank you :-D Your corset would need a bit of work, but you could deffinately fix it if you had enough seam allowance and time to do a few toiles to get the fit petfect. I have one corset i’m pulling apart to re-do as it was one of my disasters.

      My corset can not remedy it. It has construction flaws.:-(
      now I sew new one with with a Russian corsetmaster.
