Hamilton, New Ze...
I was super inspired by Jamie Lau’s jacquard V-Neck colour block dress that she posted and so I set about making myself something similar. Living in small town New Zealand the fabric choice isn’t spectacular so I had to make do with a blue/white seersucker. This fabric didn’t have a contrasting fabric like Jamie’s had to make do with a navy duchess satin for the side panels. I altered the pattern to include a visible zip down the back, rather than an invisible zip on the side.
As a novice sewer (making this with lots of help from others!) I am pretty happy with the overall result. I’m now making another one in black with a leather side panel, will see how it all goes!
Apologies for the poor photography, a selfie taken with my computer
