This is a dress pattern from 1986, although I don’t think it looks very 80’s. I made it in a striped seersucker and lined it with muslin. I’m very happy with the finish on this, but unfortunately I have issues with the fit of the back bodice, like usual. One day I’ll figure it out…

I love the seersucker! suck a great fabric! and good on you….the matching at the zipper is perfect! WOW! something i can never get right. the fitting issues dont look like they would be too drastic, fitting books are pretty cheap and they generally have step by step picture instructions! it looks like maybe there isnt enough back width through the shouloders, then perhaps a sway back alteraion around the lower area near the waist?

I’ve done a few broad back alterations before and they help. I am definitely broader through the shoulders than the back waist. And yeah, I think I need a swayback adjustment. I’ve been ignoring that one for a while. Thanks for the suggestions!
