secretary dress in orange floral

Added Jan 27, 2010

Tokyo, Japan

sometimes when i make stuff i end up results that i wish i could do better. this one though, i’m 100% satisfied with!
i used thick poly jersey with a bit of stretch for skirt part, so it’s so easy to walk around. also, i always have problem with high waisted skirt, because i find myself keep tucking in the shirt and it’s so annoying. so i just connected the top part and skirt together, and made a zipper closure in the back.

Material Notes

jersey, cotton, invisible zipper, thread

Garment Type
Business, Classic

This is super-pretty and so cheerful! Exactly the kind of dress I want to make myself for spring. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is so cute! And I will be satisfied with this, but I actually know what you mean… I want to make things fast but with sewing I should be more precise. Anyway great colours, and I like how the top is gathered:) And You look like a very professional secretary:):)
