For my brother in law’s wedding I was 6 months preggers and decided to sew a dress (first time ever) to fit my tummy.
I prefer more fitted clothes so I took an average tent-like dress pattern, and went a bit crazy with it.
I have no idea what sort of fabric they are, but the purple one had a shine to it, almost sheer and doesn’t crinkle. (YAY)
The original pattern had a very low v neck so I added the insert for a bit more modesty.
I had to constantly put it on and off and have my husband help me pin as I don’t have a dress form (not much help when pregnant anyway) and added seams/darts? to the sides of my stomach to accentuate my bump.
But funnily enough, most people didn’t actually realise I was pregnant unless I mentioned it, then they’d look down and go WOAH!
