This corduroy jacket was my second go at Simplicity 3628. The first one was a little too roomy in the shoulders, and I had this lovely green corduroy from a sale at JoAnn’s, so I figured why not give it another go? I cut it out one size smaller than the original on bottom, two sizes smaller than the original on top, and shaved some of the pointiness off the bust at the princess seam. It all worked to give me a much happier result!
These were also my first welt pockets (link below for instructions), and I figured it could be a good traveling jacket, so I added a patch pocket to the lining just the right size for an airline ticket.
You can read about the jacket on my blog!
