This pattern looked so detailed and unique and I really liked the detail in the top. I knew it was sleeveless and I don’t really like sleeveless dresses but low and behold the pattern came with these really awesome sleeves!! Was so excited when I printed it out that I didn’t have to try and work that one out.
After I made the first dress I figured I loved the top but thought it might look better with the pleated skirt. Then after looking at the design I realised this dress is very similar to a dress from one of my favourite Australian clothes shops so I decided to try and copy the bottom part and make the second skirt a pleated skirt.
So the slightly animal print dress is the Burdastyle 120 dress no alterations and the printed flowery dress is the burdastyle 120 dress but with a pleated skirt instead.

I feel like I would have taken out the seams, if there is a way to d that because my personal pet peeve is pattern interruption. Nonstheless I love tje dress, in the Garment District I see a lot of vibrant prints that I love but do not buy because I cant see the use for them, you made good use of the prints!

Hi! Both are great! I had the same thought about sleeves. I have the magazine. I’ll see if I got them too.

Thank you!! I seem to always make dresses with sleeves even if the pattern doesn’t have them but these sleeves fit perfectly, so glad BurdaStyle included them for the sleeve lovers.
