This dress is February’s outfit for my 12 Outfits this year.
The fabric was an op shop/thrift store find, a four meter length for $4.00.
Pattern: Simplicity 9744 view 3, also from the op shop.
I lowered the neck line by about 3cm and shortened the length of the skirt to just above my knees. Instead of a tie belt, I made a belt and am pretty pleased for my first attempt! If I use this pattern again I will definitely use an invisible zip, I’m not overjoyed with the regular zip. I also wish I had spent a little more time getting the top stitching right, its a bit pulled around the neckline, should have used my walking foot.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the end result, it’s a comfortable and cute, so I’m happy!
Lightbulb necklace also made by me.
Mystery fabric from the op shop, zip, belt buckle, interfacing, eyelets.
It's time to enter for our grand prize, an EX100 machine PLUS a trip to Nashville!
