made from someone else’s scraps.
follows on from my floral jacket – was so happy with that, made a less-girly one for every other day of the year.

I love the colours, patterns and shape of this jacket; it has a certain minimalism with the shape that really appeals – especially with the black dress underneath.
In fact, drawn by your reference to the floral version, to your ‘Studio’ page – I’ve decided that I love all of your jackets! Hmm. I’m feeling prompted (entirely unjustified by the constraints of time etc!) to consider a light jacket now…
Any hints on the orign of the pattern? It looks like a fine drafting of your own, but hey, I’m scouting for ideas now!
Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the feedback camberwellgal! It’s true I love making jackets. There’s a few more waiting to be photographed too.
The pattern is vintage Buttericks 6842 in medium, resized for me and with reduced shoulder depth.
Looking forward to seeing what you get up to.

This jacket is darling! Way to be green and recycle someone’s fabric scraps into such a chic garment.

How cool! I love how a beautiful, comfortable-looking garment can be made from salvaged fabric- way to go!
