I made this skirt for my 3 year old out of denim scraps cut from jeans that were turned into shorts. The bottom tier I constructed from 12 panels that were cut wider at the bottom and thinner at the top. I used two different alternating washes but I think a mix of lots would look cute too. I gave it an elastic waist and rolled the hem with my serger. The whole project took about an hour if you include the time I took doing the math.
