I made a simple grocery bag for my friend out of scrap fabrics. One was a scrap roll I bought at Joanns for $2.00 and the other was left over fabric that I made into binding strips. I was really pleased with the outcome and plan on making more “Charlie” bags.

if you want the bias binding to be tight you in the curves, you have to pull it a bit wheil sewing it. had the same problem and my mom said that you have to do it like that but i havent tried it myself. but i relly like the fabric choice

Thank you for the advice. I am sure every die-hard quilter is looking at my binding like… eh… something isn’t quite right! lol. I will try that on my next scrap project. Thank you.
