Description

Cotton and Denim Pencil/Knitting or Crochet Needle/ Paintbrush Pouch

I am trying to use all of my scraps. My husband made me a deal. If I use, give away, or throw away unusable scraps then I get eight new yards of fabric. I have until the end of the month to decide. I have been sewing like a maniac and have made several of these pouches and other nik naks.

Check out my little bits and bobs- I pretty much re-use scraps all the time. I made a pencil case like this but it has a top so the pencils/pens wont fall out- you could use a few scraps on that one!! And the elephants were as easy as pie…. and of course my best scraps buster was the sea quilt. I had to go and scrounge scraps from a friend. Thankfully she had plenty to spare. I am also realising that the cut off scraps can also be used as filling in toys- not 100 precent as I think it might get lumpy but maybe that will add a certain attraction!!

    Anyhow… good luck!!

Thanks for all of the ideas. I especially like your owl fabric book. Most of my scraps are in the same color range so I could do lots of these. Also, thanks for the tip for a pencil case top—ahhh, so many good uses. Thanks!
