I absolutely love classic school boy uniforms, and the Franzi vest was a great piece to create this look. I also made the pants (self drafted pattern), and the tie and tuxedo front blouse are from a thrift store. The Franzi vest is easy to sew but the fit was a bit off for me – I had to grade it down to a 32 and after making it I realized that it’s still too wide across the shoulders. I think if I were a C cup it would fit nicely, but since I am not a C cup I don’t fill it out. I didn’t flip the neckline out the way the pattern instructions have it styled, and instead just wear it buttoned up like a menswear vest.
Wool acrylic blend for the fashion fabric, white polyester lining, one vest buckle, black buttons.
