Wow!!! this is really an easy and gorgeous pattern. I got the pattern from Knip mode from August 2009. The original one was designed for Elsa Schiaparelli, Knip magazine had simplified the pattern. I actually stick by the original model making the buttons and the collar exactly as the original picture. I also changed the sleeves shape. Made some pleats at the shoulder line and two pleats to the collar. I also added a pad with 2 big buttons at the backside. I recycled 5 old plastic buttons and covered with black velvet then I put a nice candle pin ornament I found on the market, remove the stick and glued on the top, I think they really change the compleate appereance of the coat becoming really chic and retro. I am really pleased !!
3 ,mts of wool boucle very thing frabic, but heavy, and 2 mts of thick linning for making it weareable for the cold winter too.

Ohhhhh no, I thought like you several years ago, I came from a tropical country too and believe me, this weather is horrible, your skin starts drying and these clothes are heavy, your neck aches with the weight of the coat and scarfs, No in a million years you will get use to it, I miss my 35 degreesssss. thanks for your comment!!

You’re welcome. I visited my sister one winter and told her under no circumstances will i do it again. It was so cold and everyone kept telling me that it was a warm winter. Loved the experience and all but hated the drying out of my skin…i’ve never worn so much clothes, lotion and oil in my life

First of all I would like to give my compliments for all your wonderfull creations! It’s so funny cause I am working on this project now too. I am new with sewing so it’s taking me longer then I expected :-(. Until now I was in doubt about the sleeves ( the folding part), but now seeing yours I am totally in love! I will try to copy your sleeves ( THANK YOU ;-) )
By the way nice fabric color and details!
