hi, i trace out the half-circle using a cup along the hem. edge/zig zag stich along the traced line and then cut out the excess fabric. :)

Wow, these are ADORABLE! It makes me sad that I don’t have a zig zag stitch on my machine, since hemming the scallops would SUCK.
