Finally have some time to prepare for Self Sewn September so last night I started on this scale fabric for a skirt. Honestly it took longer to make that than the piece itself, and has turned out quite mermaid-y. I love it!
Super simple design, just an a-line skirt, gathered, layer of scale fabric on top, gathered also, and I completely forgot to add interfacing to the waistband, so I just did alot of rows of stitching for support.
The design of the skirt is so simple that I focused my efforts on displaying the fabric well, yet this fabric is so difficult to match!
Also the tank top is one I made from an old Obey shirt, and a glow-in-the-dark patch my friend made.
Making this fabric is easy, yet time consuming, so plan ahead!
