Description

So, I thought I would have a bash at making my own undies/PJ’s, inspired by a tutorial I saw on Threadbanger by Clare Bare.

I took a pair of frillies, cut off the elastic, made a paper pattern from them and then cut a new pair from an old pink sheet that I thrifted a while ago.

I serged the edges and left them out as a trim detail, then used the elastic from the original pair and attached it with a zigzag stitch about 5mm from the serged edge.


For the top, i just took a rectangle of fabric, bigger than my measurements, and folded it in half, stitched it and then serged it around the top edge, then elasticated it 5mm from the top edge and then again just below the bust to fit. The straps were just estimated in length and serged on both sides and then elasticated as before with a zigzag to ruche them up, and make them look pretty.

I stuck a little satin bow on the centre of the top to give it a bit of detail and that was it!

For some reason the BF thought they were hilarious rather than seductive, cheeky monkey!

Oh well, at least they are comfortable!

    I love them! I’m slowly working myself up to starting to make my own undies and these have inspired me further still. You going to make some more?

      Thanks! I would but the BF thinks its the most ridiculous thing for a girl to make her own undies, silly boy – luckliy i pay little attention to him ;-)
