so i had this 3,5m satin fabric that was just lying around the house…well, not really, but i got it as a wedding gift 1,5 years ago, and now my mum sent it to me, since i was getting excited about the whole sewing thing these days.
knowing that it’s slippery & just plain hard to sew, i was rather timid upon touching it, or even thinking of sewing it..until i finally found the perfect solution! or rather, the perfect “how to” in this website :)
so i decided to just go for it..and managed to finish it in just 1 day! it’s a great dress, in which i learned how to make a drawstring (very easy!), and even if the fabric is a little stretched here and there, you won’t even notice it (at least i hope you won’t!).
there you go, my 2nd baby! :)
i can wear it with a belt to make it look more sporty/city-girl-ish, and without to look more beach-y & laid back.
thanks so much to Nayantara, who made this How To, and made it so easy for me to make my 2nd dress :)

What a wonderful fabric! And I think you really chose a perfect dress for it, because this way it shows all the beauty of the fabric, and changes colours all the time – doesn’t it? Lovely.

thanks all of you! :) i agree, it’s such a nice fabric that i was even too scared to sew! thankfully it works well with this pattern/how-to & i have no regrets for using the fabric for it, hehehe ;)

It’s beautiful. I love the way the fabric has caught the light in the second photo, it really shows off the gorgeous fabric.
