Dark deep blue top I made for a project in school. I created the desing and made the pattern for it. It is very fitted. My instructor picked that design for me out a bunch of sketches I had showed to her. She thought that design would allow me to experiment several elements and techniques for pattern drafting. So I went for it. Drafting the pattern was not hard but sewing it was a nightmare. The design consists of about 15 pattern pieces but I was happy with the final result. I also top stiched all the seams to make the lines more bold and visible!

This is amazing! I believe this must have been difficult to sew, but at the same time I’d love to attempt it one day… not in satin, though! Great job.

WOW! This is stunning! I think this design would make a curvy lady look and feel INCREDIBLE. If you do ever get round to uploading this pattern I’ll be first in line to download it. Congrats on making such a good job of such an awkward fabric too. Happy sewing

wooooowww!! such a good job, and neat! It must have been not so easy to sew as it’s got all those curved hems.. And it looks so fine.
I love it please please share the pattern!!!

Good god! I can not imagine what a nightmare that must have been to sew. You did an amazing job. I absolutely adore the blouse. I think this blouse is sublime. I love the subtle lines of all the pieces (my favourite are the shoulder sections.) Also the detail of the ‘collar’ where it looks to be like a simple slit in the ‘collar piece trims the neck and forms the front plaquard’ (sorry I am sure there are technical terms for these pieces, I am winging it)
I love your pieces! (Looks like someone needs to try out for project runway! :-)

That is a lovely color, but the design looks incredibly difficult! Great job; I would be too intimidated to even attempt this. I really do love that fabric.
