this is actually a ‘muslin’ pair of pants
as i wanted to test the pattern first
before i cut that wool-silk fabric i planned for them
i had this yellow and black satin laying around
planned to make a shirtdress from it
and then i never did (and i have too many shirt dresses anyways)
so i thought if i mess it with the pants
i won’t be too sorry
because i don’t really like the fabric all that much
so.. made the pants
and i love them.. or to put it more precisely: i’m obsessed with them
wore them 3 times last week
they can be dressed up, and worn with heels
or worn with flats or sneakers for more casual look
i’ve already cut the second pair
and i have plans to make few more
because these are seriously most comfy pants i ever worn
changed only one thing
decided not to make that huge jersey waistband
(why would anyone want all that fabric around the waist?)
but added small satin waistband and 1cm wide elastics instead
see more pics on my blog mokosha
1,3m satin fabric (i used the back side as a right side, cause i don’t like shininess of satin
1cm wide elastic for the waist
