This past summer, I made two versions of this sheath in cotton prints and wore them all the time.
I like this particular print because it reminds me a bit of Japanese sashiko-style embroidery.
This is the epitome of a versatile dress-city, beach, with a belt, without, layered or not, you name it!
The construction was simple enough, so I decided to line it completely-which was fine except I lined it in cotton, which is not at all slippery, which means that the skirt rides up if I’m anything but bare-legged. Boo.
And now that the temperature’s cooled down, I’m thinking of making another in mustard colored silk…
the possibilities are endless.
