Description

Are these dropped crotch (harem-style) shorts cool and edgy, or just plain ridiculous?

I was intrigued by this pattern from the Japanese sewing book “She Wears the Pants” by Yuko Takada. I made a straight size large (the largest size) with no alterations out of a plaid poly/cotton blend.

Do you think this pattern is worthy of a non-muslin version in fashion fabric? Can I actually wear these out in public?? :) (Confession: I think I like them!)

I just ordered this book because of this pattern, and so it’s great to see your version while I’m waiting for it to arrive. The pants are definitely wearable! ( and also non-muslim worthy too).

Exciting!! I’m so curious to see some more versions of this pattern. :) I hope you enjoy the book! There are a bunch of great patterns in there, all very well thought-out with some nice details.

Thanks! It’s definitely a different silhouette for me, but the change is refreshing!
