A friend of mine brought me this wonderful saree from India. So I decided to use it for a vintage pattern I have. It’s the vogue V1044 pattern from 1956. And as you need quite a lot of fabric (approx. 6 yards), the saree was just perfect. I liked the dress so very much that I decided to use the same model as a wedding dress. You’ll see the pictures later on….
I'm not sure about the material. My friend said, it is silk, and she certainly paid the price for it , however, I'm not quite sure....

My son bought me 2 saris when he was in Bangladesh and I wasn’t sure what to do with them. Now you have given me inspiration with your beautiful dress.

So pretty! The colors look great! I’ve been wanting to do the same thing with a silk sari.
