A friend of mine brought me this wonderful saree from India. So I decided to use it for a vintage pattern I have. It’s the vogue V1044 pattern from 1956. And as you need quite a lot of fabric (approx. 6 yards), the saree was just perfect. I liked the dress so very much that I decided to use the same model as a wedding dress. You’ll see the pictures later on….
I’m not sure about the material. My friend said, it is silk, and she certainly paid the price for it , however, I’m not quite sure….
