November 2005 – Mrs. Santa Claus dresses, also known as the Santette dress, was designed by altering a dress pattern adding more flare to the bottom and fur trim to the dress. I created 5 dresses with 5 matching hats over the course of the month, finishing them up using my Pfaff 2040 and serger over Thanksgiving weekend. The fabric is a high quality, heavy-weight red velvet and the faux shag fur is polyester, both purchased online in 2005 from Fabric Depot, Portland, Oregon. I am honored to see these dresses worn every year during the Hometown Christmas Parade.

Combination of McCall and Butterick patterns. Pattern – sorry, I no longer have it (but I’m sure I can use the dresses to make one). Fabric from Fabric Depot – https://www.fabricdepot.com/

Hello: I have to make Santa’s caps for sunday night. Any tips on how I can make them? I figured out the basics, but would prefer a pattern, maybe an online template. Haven’t found any… Ideas? Thank you B.

Thank you! The belts have been updated to real belts. I hope to get updated pictures this year. The ladies have so much fun while their in their costume. They tell me it makes them feel so sexy. Men are always after them.
